What is "Flash"?

I know you want to party with us…

Flash is the newest release from Brewster Durbin & Fairys (Jack Sadlier), a 5-track collaborative EP that pushes the limits of their pop songwriting and production. While both artists made a name for themselves off the back of their indie-leaning debut albums, this project dives headfirst into the current sound of electronic pop music. Combining their indie songwriting chops with a smattering of pop influences ranging from Gaga-era Top 40 to the cutting edge of the present underground scene, Durbin & Sadlier make a compelling case for themselves as two of the most exciting new voices in underground music.

Nobody told me it was comeback season…

Flash packages its three previously released singles - "Fallback," "I'm Your Man," and "I Want It All" - with two brand new summer jams, "6AM" and "SNW (Party With Us)." Having already explored the sounds of New Orleans bounce, anthemic indietronica, and early-2010's pop exuberance, these two new tracks broaden the duo's musical horizons even further.

The future hung just like a pitch in the air…

The EP kicks off with "6AM," a minimal and punchy electro-pop track dominated by a heavy saw-tooth bass. "6AM"'s restraint sets the stage for the following track, "SNW (Party With Us)," 5 minutes of high-energy electropop gold, with electrifying performances from both Durbin & Sadlier. Featuring samples and interpolations of underground peers (and friends) Jane Remover and Endie, "SNW" is the show-stopping centerpiece of the EP.

I know Chicago is cold, we could set it on fire…

Fans need not be worried; Flash will be quickly followed up by a remix EP, with friends & collaborators invited to remix each of the project's five tracks. After this victory lap, it seems both Durbin & Sadlier intend to return to their signature sounds, primed to reach new heights with their respective solo albums, both planned for the second half of 2026. For now, though, Flash remains a riveting snapshot of what the current underground electronic scene has to offer.

In a flash, get the city taken over!
